The LTM 1400-6.1 has a 70-metre telescopic boom and is characterised by clever and simple set-up processes. The 6-axle crane is the successor to the proven and successful LTM 1350-6.1. Like its predecessor, the LTM 1400-6.1 is now the smallest crane with Y-guying, making it the perfect introduction to this boom technology with its enormous increase in lifting capacity. The new all-rounder allows extremely flexible and economical operation thanks to a wide range of accessories, a highly functional modular boom kit and the familiar Liebherr technologies. It also features driver assistance systems that increase the safety of everyone on the road.
The Group is celebrating its 75th anniversary and to mark the occasion, an LTM 1400-6.1 was adorned with various milestones in the company's history.
Outstanding lifting capacities due to Y-guying – the only crane in the 6-axle class with this feature.
The installation of various driver assistance systems enhances road safety – especially for vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.
Load charts with different maximum wind speeds of up to 15.6 m/s increase flexibility and safety in everyday use.
VarioBallast® enables the infinite adjustment of the ballast radius using hydraulic slewing mechanism.
In addition to reducing service and maintenance requirements, the single-engine concept also means less weight, meaning that the lifting capacity can be increased.

ECOmode minimises both fuel consumption and noise emissions when operating the crane superstructure. The crane operator sets the required working speed using the control lever. The crane control system calculates the perfect engine speed for the diesel engine.
ECOdrive makes the mobile crane significantly more comfortable and quieter by reducing the engine speed. Faster gearshifting delivers greater dynamic and traction offroad. On the road, the torque from the Liebherr diesel engine is used efficiently to minimise fuel consumption.
Take one engine out to increase lifting capacity. Or more accurately – the superstructure is powered by the undercarriage engine. Gear shafts are routed from the distributor gear in the substructure via two mitre gears to the pump distributor gear in the superstructure. That enables us to remove one engine – and we use this to increase the crane’s lifting capacity.
VarioBase makes the crane’s support system variable. It enables each outrigger to be extended to a different length. This enhances safety – particularly in constricted spaces. And what's more, the crane’s lifting capacities are significantly increased, particularly over the outriggers and depending on the configuration.
The ballast radius can be infinitely varied using a simple hydraulic slewing mechanism. The radius can be reduced in constricted conditions or increased if a higher lifting capacity is required. This significantly increases the crane’s flexibility.
We can provide a support function for erecting the luffing jib on larger LICCON2 cranes. Activating the automatic erection system in the LICCON crane control system ensures that the adjustment winch is automatically adjusted by the control system as the telescopic boom is luffed.
