Official Opening of Liebherr-Aerospace China

Liebherr-Aerospace has officially opened its new maintenance station in Shanghai (China). The event has been celebrated on November 12, 2014, at Airshow China in Zhuhai (China).

Located in close proximity to Shanghai Pudong airport, Liebherr-Aerospace offers to airlines based in mainland China OEM-quality maintenance services and component support with short turn-around times. Its customer service team was recruited in China and has received additional training at the OEM-facilities Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Toulouse (France), and Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, Lindenberg (Germany).

In addition to offices, the new maintenance station offers up to 30 work benches, about 150 m² (1,600 sq ft) of storage area for piece parts and line replaceable units, as well as areas with state-of-the-art equipment for planning, receiving, cleaning, rework, testing, inspection and shipping. “We are continuously developing our capabilities in order to support our Chinese customers operating the existing fleets of Airbus, Bombardier and Embraer aircraft, and future fleets of COMAC ARJ21 and C919 aircraft”, says Charles Thoyer-Rozat, EVP Customer Services. Liebherr-Aerospace’s OEM inventory is available for sale and exchange.

In September 2013, Liebherr-Aerospace China, which is located on the site of Liebherr Machinery Service (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., received its Maintenance Organization Certificate CCAR Part 145 and just recently its EASA Part 145 accreditation.
