Liebherr showcases new product developments in control technology and electric machines at SPS IPC Drives 2017

Liebherr Components is showcasing new product developments in electric control and drive technology from 28. to 30. November at SPS IPC Drives 2017 in Nuremberg. The main focus lies thereby on the in-house developed Liduro energy storage unit, which has been specially designed to increase the efficiency of mobile and stationary applications. The easily scalable “connect & use” unit based on double layer capacitors allows for effective energy use and, thus, meets the increasing demand for cost-effective and sustainable energy storage systems. The compact, liquid-cooled complete system comprises all of the individual systems and assemblies needed, thereby significantly facilitating the integration into any application. One further advantage is that peak loads can be covered at reduced connected power.

Further highlights at the exhibition are electric motors and generators for use in mobile, semi-mobile and stationary applications. The Liebherr exhibition team informs the professional public about its customer-specific electric motors featuring high power output and density. On the example of the exhibited permanent magnet synchronous motor from the PGF22 series, Liebherr furthermore presents the possibilities of the extension to a complete drive train, for example, by adding the respective power electronics or control cabinets to it.
