Liebherr-Aerospace Brasil Ltda. Reaches New Milestone

Liebherr Aerospace Brasil Ltda., Liebherr’s manufacturing facility in Guaratinguetá near São Paulo (Brazil), has started to produce make-to-print parts for aircraft manufacturers, thus reaching an important milestone in the development of its capacities.

The company will deliver the structural and landing gear parts, for example brackets for wings, as well as stays and trailing arms for landing gear, directly to Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer. Moreover, Liebherr Aerospace Brasil Ltda., which has recently obtained its ISO14001 certification, concluded 2014 with another important milestone in its business development: compared to the previous year, it increased revenues by 30 %. Furthermore, the company has expanded its capabilities through the deployment of new processes for the assembly of electrical subassemblies and for painting.

Liebherr Aerospace Brasil Ltda., founded in 2006, specializes in the precision- machining, surface treatment and assembly of high-tech parts for landing gear, flight control and air management systems for a wide array of commercial aircraft, business jets, military aircraft and helicopters. It employs a total of around 280 people in production, design, procurement, quality control and in administration.
