First Liebherr crane for DB Port – LRT rough-terrain crane will be used for loading work
- LRT 1090-2.1 rough-terrain crane will take on reloading work in Poland
- DB Port Szczecin attaches great value to the quality, lifting capacity and efficiency of its rough-terrain cranes
Polish company DB Port Szczecin has invested in a new Liebherr LRT 1090-2.1. The rough-terrain crane will be used for loading goods and is the first Liebherr crane for the company. Quality, lifting capacity, efficiency and functionality were the main factors behind the purchase decision.
Liebherr delivered the first of its new LRT 1090-2.1 and LRT 1100-2.1 rough-terrain cranes at the end of 2017. These are versatile, are suitable for any terrain and are also powerful, robust and manoeuvrable. The LRT cranes set new standards in terms of safety – for example the VarioBase® variable supporting base, outrigger monitoring system and the rear-view camera are included as standard. Lots of handles and ladders, the extra-wide crane cabin and the self-explanatory, clear control elements also ensure a high level of comfort.
"The LRT 1090-2.1 meets our expectations in full. Its lifting capacities are high and the operating speeds, for example of the hoist unit and slewing unit, are perfect for us. The support procedure is straightforward", says Daniel Saar, managing director at DB Port. The one hundred percent subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG is a leading reloading contractor in Szczecin and other sites in Poland with a workforce of over 180. The Liebherr rough-terrain crane is the fifth crane in its fleet and will extend the company's capacity for reloading work of piece goods such as granite blocks and large steel rollers.
