Involvement in global projects during my studies
Rose Kuhn | Dual Student
Rose Kuhn feels truly fortunate to have found the dual study program at Liebherr in Lindau
Here the aspiring industrial engineer can give her full attention to her subject, and put her theoretical knowledge directly into practice. And not only locally, but in an international environment. A company like Liebherr that has a long tradition but is innovative at the same time offers young people a wide range of opportunities – they just have to take them.
The products are used all over the world and I played a role.
Rose did exactly that, spending a semester abroad in Toulouse, where she improved her language skills and gained valuable insights into her French colleagues’ work.
Being part of international projects is what makes her dual study program at Liebherr unique. And this is what Rose Kuhn does since her first minute within the Liebherr Group. As an aspiring industrial engineer, she contributes every single day to the products that are used in aerospace industry all over the world.
“When choosing my course of studies a practical element and international opportunities in the company were extremely important factors. I have been on board for some time and I can honestly say that my dual study programme at Liebherr is exactly what I was looking for because I can actively work on product developments. In my last two practical phases I had the opportunity, for example, to track the development of a new rail climate controller. The entire project was completed by means of value analysis and afterwards I was able to perform tests on the prototypes. It is great to know that the products will be used at a later stage all over the world and I played a role in the development.
Liebherr also fulfilled my dream to spend a semester abroad in Toulouse. There I further developed my linguistic and cultural skills, I was able to obtain an insight into a different working world. Through my studies at Liebherr, I obtained a very comprehensive insight into various topics and departments – from development through to sales. It was also during this time that I discovered my fascination for electrical engineering.”
