Tower cranes product segment
Liebherr develops and manufactures tower cranes and mobile construction cranes, which meet different requirements. Cranes specially adapted to customer requirements are manufactured in every market region. Liebherr-Werk Biberach GmbH (Germany) is responsible for the overall operational management of all activities in the product segment and is also a production site.
Crane systems for challenging applications
The tower cranes segment manufactures a broad product portfolio of top-slewing cranes, fast-erecting cranes and mobile construction cranes for a wide range of applications at four locations worldwide. The lift capacities of the Liebherr crane systems range from 13 to 5000 mt. Cranes with a jib length of up to 100 metres and a maximum hook height of 120 metres are manufactured.
Focus on construction site planning
Under the name "Tower Crane Solutions", the tower cranes product segment at the site in Biberach an der Riss has established a team of experts for providing advice on special projects, projects in power plant construction and plant engineering, as well as the construction of wind turbines. For these projects, the team uses the international network of Liebherr companies and dealers, and coordinates the collaboration between design, structural engineering, production, sales, rental and after-sales service in the area of tower cranes. Our goal is to offer customers all over the world maximum benefits for their construction projects.
Sale of used and rental machines
In Biberach an der Riss (Germany) there is also a used and rental machine centre for tower cranes, which is responsible for the purchase and sale of used Liebherr cranes worldwide. Rental machines and accessories of decentralised rental pools of Liebherr companies are also made available.
