The World Table Tennis Championships 2014, which were held in Japan’s capital Tokyo, were an international media success. There were 475 combined hours of coverage across 22 TV networks all over the globe. The championships were not only broadcasted live to many Asian and European countries, but also to countries and regions such as the United States, Mexico or the Middle East.
