A vacancy has arisen within our Rentals Company based in Biggleswade for a Service Support Controller. The role contributes to the success of the Liebherr Rental by providing office and administrative support to the service function. Through consistent delivery of effective administrative, customer service and interpersonal skills, the job holder will play a key role in supporting the team’s objectives in line with the vision of the business whilst ensuring outstanding customer service at all times and working within the Company’s key result areas; Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.
Your responsibilities as a Service Support Controller
• Actively ensure customer requirements relating to breakdowns and service requirements, issuing works orders to relevant depots or suppliers.
• Liaise with Aftersales departments & suppliers, monitoring the progress to resolution and communicating with the customer as required.
• Maintaining records for machine maintenance, servicing & thorough examinations
• Ensure non-contractual charges are calculated on the recommendations of the engineers and communicated to the customer.
• Assists RCMs and finance departments with contact specific information to aid billing of key accounts.
• Actively participates in the opening / closing of jobs ensuring identified outstanding work is recorded for future resolution.
• Prepares and issues work orders to Liebherr service depots.
• Reviews all engineer timesheets for all work carried out to check if additional faults are reported / if the original fault has been resolved and actioned accordingly.
• Coordinates schedules for inspection engineers, including planning of logistics of all spare parts, tools, transport and resources arrive to site in a timely manner.
• Provides information for administration to formulate non-contractual changes (following repairs / defects found on site) and negotiating to a conclusion.
• Assists in organising sub-contractors when supporting customers or engineers.
• Checks and processes time sheets and inspection reports.
• Raises internal and external purchase orders and coding on supplier invoices.
• Provide sufficient information to support the accurate processing of warranty claims.
• Co-ordinates product modification programmes and delivery of spare parts.
To be successful in the Service Support Controller role
The successful candidate will require the following:
• 3 GCSE’s grade A-C including Maths and English.
• Previous experience as a Plant Engineer / Field Service Engineer is preferred.
• Previous experience within a rental environment is preferred.
• Team player experience.
