Employee interview with Lisa Bozzi

Lisa Bozzi has been with Liebherr in Saline, Michigan, since 2017. She is the Executive Office Coordinator for the Liebherr Gear Technology and Automation Systems division.

Why did you apply for a job at Liebherr?

I used to take my two children to their taekwondo class, which was just down the street of the Liebherr Saline office. I remember every time I went by I would see this place and think to myself that I had to find out what they did there. One day I took the time to go online. I looked into it and I was inspired by Hans Liebherr. I was really impressed: This man had a plan and he kept building on it. I told my children, one of these days I am going to work here. In 2017 a hybrid position opened up for HR and office management. Since I had experience in both I guess you could say it was meant to be.

If you are a person who wants to move up and succeed and commit yourself you can do that here with Liebherr.

How would you describe the working environment at Liebherr?

One passion many opportunities - that fits perfectly. If you are a person who wants to move up and succeed and commit yourself you can do that here with Liebherr. You can only limit yourself and your abilities if you choose to. I want to do the best I can and it is nice to see that Liebherr appreciates that. It’s a win win – for them and for me.

Is there an achievement you are especially proud of?

The IMTS trade Show in Chicago was probably my proudest moment. It was my first big show and there was so much to think of and learn. I appreciated that I was guided by people with a lot of experience so I could be prepared for future shows. When the show finally came around all these pieces came together and I saw the end result – I saw the success. That feeling of accomplishment is so important

What do you value most about your daily work?

The trust that is given to me and the independence resulting from that. I like that I receive a task and then I can run with that. That is so important to me. It makes me feel valued and because of that I feel loyal to Liebherr.

I also want to give our other employees and colleagues this type of respect which I find valuable.

What makes Liebherr special?

Liebherr is still family owned. How many other businesses can say that? I see that the family want to take care of their employees. One of the things that impressed me was that they consider their employees the biggest value of their company. That way of thinking started with our founder Hans Liebherr and continues today. I also want to give our other employees and colleagues this type of respect which I find valuable.
