New crane control system – familiar with a new look
When you see our new LTM 1110-5.2 for the first time, you will be surprised by its appearance and you may have to have a second look. We have given the mobile crane a design update and fitted it with a new driver’s cab. We have also updated some of its technology. And the highlight of this is definitely the new LICCON3 crane control system.
The modern design features premium materials and timeless lines as well as delivering a whole host of improvements for the crane driver:
A new multifunction steering wheel
Side roller blind on the driver’s door
Improved instruments and keypads as well as new displays
Options, such as the central locking system with remote key, the cool box and tyre pressure monitoring system deliver additional comfort.
A completely new, modern automatic heating and climate control system in both the driver’s and operator’s cabs guarantees comfortable working conditions. A sun sensor detects strong sunshine and automatically adjusts the heating settings. In addition to the standard radio with hands-free facility, a double DIN radio with extended functions is available as an option.
In the superstructure cab, a display with touchscreen functions delivers significantly greater convenience and ergonomics. We have also revised and simplified the way in which the information is shown. The similarities with the previous control system are important to us. Anybody who has operated one of our LICCON2 cranes in the past will soon find himself at home with the new one.
The updated lighting is another highlight – we have improved the lighting packages for the crane cabs, the superstructure, the rear of the vehicle, the front headlights and the telescopic boom as well as the lattice jibs. These now feature LEDs. LED equipment delivers a long service life and improved illumination.
It's the inner values that count – the new crane control system
We are preparing for the future and in unveiling the LTM 1110-5.2, we present the first crane to feature the new LICCON3 crane control system. This third generation of our LICCON (Liebherr Computed Control) control system is based on time-tested operation.
LICCON3 improves and simplifies the crane control system in one.
Electronics is the greatest masterpiece for the new generation of cranes. The LICCON3 control system is a dazzling array of new software, a dizzyingly fast data bus, new programming language, significantly more storage space and high computer performance as well as improved safety tools.
Nikolaus Münch, Manager Control Systems
The similarities with our previous LICCON2 control system are wide-ranging. Time-tested hardware components, such as the BTT remote control terminal, have been included. The way in which the information is shown has also been revised and simplified.
