Crowd booster

The crowd booster is an assistance system for deep foundation machines which achieves a higher pull force through parallel operation of various winches. In addition to the crowd rope, the pull force of the main winch is used.

When extracting, the control system ensures that the speeds and pull forces of the crowd and Kelly winches are synchronised. The ropes on the winches are always taut so avoiding slack rope. It also takes the burden off the operator, the automatic control function for both winches is activated by pressing a button on the joystick.

A special pulling plate is attached to the Kelly bar to mechanically transfer the rope pull of the Kelly winch to the casing driver.
