Power house on two axles: Milplan invests in an LRT 1130-2.1 from Liebherr
- 130-tonne rough-terrain crane from Liebherr boosts crane fleet
- Compact, versatile, safe
- Milplan’s most powerful LRT crane
Milplan, a company based in Belo Horizonte (Brazil) is boosting its crane fleet with a new LRT 1130-2.1 rough-terrain crane from Liebherr. The 130-tonner will in future be used in particular in the mining sector. Versatile deployment options, high load capacities and safety were the key factors when it came to procuring the new crane.
Liebherr’s first Brazilian customer, the industrial construction firm Milplan, is putting a new LRT 1130-1.2 from Liebherr into operation. The procurement of the 130-tonne model is a strategic and important investment to allow the completion of mining projects. “The growing demand in electromechanical assembly installation in particular was one of the key decision criteria in favour of the Liebherr LRT 1130-2.1”, explains Victor Lott, Head of Logistics at Milplan.
A versatile power house
The powerful LRT 1130-2.1 rough-terrain crane from Liebherr boasts tremendous load capacities and the longest telescopic boom of all of the 2-axle rough-terrain cranes in the world. “Thanks to compact transport dimensions, large tyres and the ability to move the crane with the counterweight mounted, we're able to use the LRT 1130-2.1 in a wide range of situations and with agility”, says Lott, adding a further important point: “For the operator, handling the crane is straightforward since all of the required functions such as steering, automatic support levelling and crane operation can be carried out comfortably from the cabin.” Extensive assistance systems ensure maximum safety and add the finishing touch to the overall package.
Reliability and first-class after-sales service
“We chose Liebherr because the equipment in our company works reliably and we have excellent customer service locally. Liebherr offers us reliability coupled with quality and operational safety”, says Lott. With the new 130-tonner, Milplan now has the most powerful RT crane in its fleet, which already includes six other Liebherr cranes.
