Liftinghero Pawel: Challenges and adrenalin drive him forward

Paweł Bućkuń from Poznan (Poland) has already 16 years of experience as a crane operator.

The largest crane he has ever had to deal with was a 550 EC-H 40 Litronic, 68 metres high, 51.5 metres jib length and rail-going. He would most like to operate a 1000 EC-B - the stronger the crane, the more exciting the task!

That's why he is a passionate crane operator

What does he like most about his job? To face new challenges again and again and the daily dose of adrenalin that comes automatically high up on the crane, even after many years of experience as a crane operator. Of course, it also makes Pawel proud to be able to operate machines of this size.

His favourite site up to now was in Sweden in the coastal city of Malmö. Here he had a view from above of one of the longest bridges in Europe: the Öresund Bridge. It connects Sweden and Denmark. You can only experience something so special as a crane operator!

Plushy helpers support Pawel in his work

Pawel has a five-year old daughter who is, of course, very proud of her dad. To support him, she regularly gives him plush toys to take with him to work and to help him to operate the crane. Pawel takes that very seriously: Whenever a little helper is on board, he brings his daughter photos showing him and his helper working in the crane.

Always outdoors: Pawel likes bicycling and he even rides his bike to work.

Always outdoors - also during leisure time

In his free time, Pawel likes to go hiking in the mountains or fishing. Bicycling is one of his favourite hobbies; he even rides his bike to work.

Who gives good, gets good back

His motto: Everyone has as much good in them as they pass on to others. If you give good to others, then you will get good back. Pawel also lives this guiding principle on the construction site. When lifting heavy loads and for safety on site, it is important that you can rely on and have confidence in the team on site. Always helpful and attentive without forgetting to laugh either - with this positive manner, Pawel has always been successful so far.
