Delivery record 2023: 2,000th crane from Ehingen goes to MAXIKraft
- In early December, the 2,000th crane, an LTM 1070-4.2, was handed over to MAXIKraft.
- Liebherr in Ehingen achieves an unprecedented number of crane deliveries in its history.
- Despite high production, maintaining good quality and customer service remains a constant priority.
A new milestone has been achieved: For the first time in history, the Liebherr plant in Ehingen has delivered more than 2,000 cranes in a calendar year. Marked with this magical number, an LTM 1070-4.2 was labelled in early December. It was officially handed over to Maik Kanitzky, owner of the MAXIKraft Group, in front of the eyes of thousands of employees during a company meeting.
Liebherr in Ehingen is accustomed to large numbers and records, but the new milestone is indeed special: over 2,000 cranes delivered in a single year for the first time. Considering that the average crane size has also increased in recent years, with the majority of cranes now having more than four axles, this new record is even more remarkable.
This was reason enough for the company management to involve the employees of the Liebherr manufacturing plant in this special event of delivering the 2,000th crane. They deserve thanks for this exceptional achievement. Maik Kanitzky also expressed his appreciation: "From my point of view, the employees are the company. And great people have to work at Liebherr to achieve this kind of performance. Everyone has to do a good job so that 2,000 cranes can be delivered in a year. As a customer, I can only say: Thank you very much!"
MAXIKraft consistently invests in new mobile and crawler cranes to keep the fleet of the corporate group always up-to-date technologically. Therefore, owner Maik Kanitzky has regularly placed large orders with Liebherr in recent years. The MAXIKraft Group, with around 500 employees, operates about 200 cranes, 80 percent of which come from Liebherr – from the LTM 1030-2.1 to the LR 11000. Since the founding of the company in 1992 to the present day, Kanitzky has purchased around 800 new Liebherr cranes, investing nearly 500 million euros.
Christoph Kleiner, Sales Director, thanked Kanitzky for the decades-long trust in Liebherr: "Sustainability is important to us. We aim to contribute to the long-term performance and economic viability of our customers. Through safety and reliability, we can create added value for our customers." Kanitzky appreciates not only the product quality and Liebherr service but also the personal direct contact. However, in his speech to the Liebherr staff, he emphasized: "Delivering so many cranes is one thing. But every small part is important, every sensor. The quality must be maintained because availability, reliability, that is crucial for every crane operator."
