The Product Manager – Technology Products is responsible for the research, definition and administration of market and internal stakeholder requirements to ensure strategic evolution of existing MIN Technology products throughout the product life cycle.
The role shall also support the research and definition of international market desires in the pursuit of innovative technology product solutions for future markets.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the identification and definition of development priorities for MIN Technology Product Portfolio.
- Assist in planning and mapping product dependencies and integration requirements to ensure consistent and complimentary formulation of product requirement documents for application across multiple machine and technology products.
- Development of product requirements and market requirements specifications for the MIN HEX, OHT and Technology Product Portfolio according to defined development priorities.
- Establish and sustain effective relationships with Liebherr-internal stakeholders (i.e. factories and affiliates) that result in the identification of new Technology Products and Service Delivery opportunities.
- Identification of customers’ dynamics, drivers (mine organization, business model, fleet management, and maintenance and service strategies), current and future needs/desires concerning evolution of the Technology Product Portfolio requirements.
- Provision of effective and timely mining Industry market analysis focusing on:
- Establishing customers’ performance requirements for Technology products.
- Identifying opportunities for Liebherr’s Technology Product Portfolio that meet/address customer performance requirements and or competitors deficiencies.
- Identifying required changes in technology and processes as observed in tenders, regional legislation / regulations, standards & norms, guidelines, competitor offerings, new technologies and general market trends.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of assigned inputs for MIN Business processes; in particular the Product Development Process (SEP and PDP) and Product Evolution Process (PCR and PER).
- Other duties as directed.
Competencies
- Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University in an Engineering or Business related discipline with ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Sound commercial acumen with proven Sales and / or Project Management experience.
- Sound technical knowledge and understanding of Mining Technologies.
- Experience and knowledge of Liebherr Mining products will be highly regarded.
- Courteous and professional demeanor to internal and external stakeholders/customers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Able to maintain an international, intercompany Liebherr internal and external network with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self-organized, structured and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office software.
- Fluency in French or Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time both domestically and internationally.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
