About the Role:
As the Operations Quality Group Leader based in Para Hills West, you will oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and improvement initiatives at the Adelaide facility while supporting regional branches. Reporting to the Quality Manager, your hands-on leadership will not only ensure overall ISO 9001 compliance but will also drive continuous improvement and foster collaboration to deliver exceptional quality management systems nationally.
Skills and Duties:
With an early January 2025 start, you will be required to:
- Lead and mentor a small team driving alignment with strategic quality objectives
- Oversee Adelaide’s quality operations and support regional branches, ensuring ISO 9001 and internal compliance
- Plan and monitor continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging the PDCA cycle to enhance processes and improve service delivery
- Conduct internal audits, provide actionable feedback, and manage non-conformance investigations to address root causes
- Collaborate with operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement effective QA strategies while maintaining QA records.
Requirements:
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Expertise in Quality Management with a Lead Auditor Certification preferably holding a Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification, strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality assurance systems
- Leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to inspire teams and build productive relationships with stakeholders
- Expertise in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and process optimisation
- Commitment to excellence with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
