Liebherr further expands its production range portfolio of hydraulic cylinders

  • New 260 bar series-production range for construction machinery and industrial applications
  • Three series-production ranges to cover numerous application areas and industry requirements

Liebherr unveils a new hydraulic cylinder series for a pressure range of up to 260 bar at Bauma 2019. This not only expands Liebherr’s existing series-production portfolio, but also introduces a complete cylinder portfolio to cover different industry-specific requirements in addition to the well-established 380 bar series-production range and the ISO 6022-compliant industrial range. Liebherr is presenting a comparison of all three ranges to trade visitors in Booth 326 of Hall A4.

With the three production series, Liebherr now offers customers a proven solution for each application. It’s now quick and easy to custom configure the required product from among the available options. The wide range of configuration possibilities and options also allow for individual, application-specific product designs.

While the 380 bar series-production range is specially designed for high dynamic loads in construction machinery, the ISO 6022-compliant industrial series offers specific components for stationary use. The hydraulic cylinder series with a pressure range of 260 bar rounds off the portfolio. The customer has gained a new series-production range that not only offers cost-effective solutions, but can also be used universally in a wide range of applications, both mobile and stationary.

Dynamic and highly resilient

The 380 bar series, which has already been successfully established in the market, is mainly used in mobile applications. The hydraulic cylinders are perfect wherever long-lasting and robust products are required in highly dynamic applications. The “eye-eye mounting” was specially designed for connection to construction machinery and ensures optimal operation.

Liebherr also offers packages with the specially developed LiView® position transducer as an option, for reliable recording of linear movement during work. The piston rod coatings can also be adapted to any environmental conditions.

Cost-effective basic solutions

The 260 bar series-production range now essentially gives customers an optimised range of hydraulic cylinders that can be used even under demanding conditions. With a wide range of possible dimensions, fastening types, oil connections and piston rod coatings, the 260 bar series offers the required flexibility for a wide range of applications.

It consists of 28 basic piston-piston rod rated diameter combination variants. There are a total of four available mounting types and two alternative oil connections for each of these basic variants. Depending on the environmental impact, a single chrome or double chrome coating is possible. To ensure the most cost-effective solution for the target application, however, no functional expansions such as sensor or cushioning solutions are planned for this series.

The industrial specialists of the ISO 6022-compliant series-production range

With the series-production range according to ISO 6022 Liebherr’s product portfolio offers a hydraulic cylinder series that is specially geared to the multifaceted requirements and demands of stationary applications. The installation dimensions and mounting options comply with standard specifications, yet selected details offer customers the highest degree of flexibility and individuality for every application.

Thus, the series-production range offers 24 basic piston-piston rod rated diameter combination variants while also expanding the dimensions defined in the standard upwards. There are a total of six available mounting types and four alternative oil connections for each of these basic variants. Again, single chrome or double chrome coating can be selected. The hydraulic cylinders can also be equipped with a wide range of additional options such as a position transducer, end of stroke cushioning, proximity switch or pressure sensor.
