At the international trade fair for shipbuilding, machinery and marine technology SMM 2016, the Components division of the Liebherr Group will present a selection of products in the fields of hydraulics, rope winches, large diameter bearings, gearboxes and fuel injection systems. The focus will be on the display of application-specific solutions. The Liebherr Group will also be represented from 6 to 9 September by the Maritime Cranes division, which will present its new simulation software for the CBG ship crane series.
Components for the maritime industry
On their 70 mĀ² exhibition stand in Hall A3, Stand 411, the Components division of the Liebherr Group is showing, amongst other things, possible applications of axial piston motors and pumps in the onshore and offshore sector. The advantages of these are especially beneficial in crane applications. For the longevity that is demanded in the maritime field, hydraulic components display a very robust design and offer high performance and efficiency.
Another highlight at this year's fair is the 11.5 Common Rail fuel injection system, which is ideally suited for marine propulsion as well as for Gensets, mining and railway applications. The Common Rail injection system offers proven performance with constant power and low emissions through precise multiple injection at a pressure of up to 2,200 bar. Liebherr's injection technologies have already been certified for marine use by German Lloyd.
In addition to hydraulic components and injection systems, Liebherr is also demonstrating its portfolio of advanced large diameter bearings, which includes a segmented bearing with a diameter of more than 6,000 mm. The exhibited system solution consists of a three-row roller bearing slewing ring, a slewing drive and a hydraulic motor and demonstrates Liebherr's expertise in maritime components solutions.
Visitors this year will also be able to see components and system solutions for lifting systems. Liebherr presents a complete system with its derrick rope winch, which is particularly suitable for lifting applications in the maritime sector. It consists of the motor, gearbox, brake, rope drum, frame and controller.
New ship crane simulator LiSIMĀ®
Beside new components, Liebherr will also present the extended LiSIM simulation software from the Maritime Cranes division in Hamburg. In Hall A1, Stand A4.304, visitors will be able to experience the application live in the form of a simulator. The software developed by Liebherr, which is now also available for the CBG four-rope grab crane series, comprises a wide range of application scenarios that covers practically any possible combination of applications of the Liebherr CBG series.
