Energy efficiency is a decisive criterion when choosing a construction machine. Every millilitre of fuel makes a big difference when you consider the continuous mode of many construction machines. This is why the topic of energy consumption is high on our list of priorities. With the energy efficiency calculator, we would like to offer you the opportunity to calculate your savings potential when choosing a Liebherr earthmoving or material handling machine.

How does the energy efficiency calculator work?

You can find the energy efficiency calculator on the product pages of the machines. Firstly, enter the average fuel consumption of your comparative machine. Then enter the operating hours per year and the current fuel price. By clicking on "Calculate", the calculator will provide you with the savings potential as a monetary value and the equivalent CO2 reduction for diesel and hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) operation.

Transparency

We are proud of our fuel-efficient construction machines and want to make the consumption figures available to everyone. This transparency sets us apart from other manufacturers whose consumption values are based on estimates or determined under ideal conditions.

Field data

The Liebherr fuel consumption figures are taken from field data from the Liebherr Connect fleet management system. To ensure high data quality, only field data from machines with more than 100 operating hours or 100 litres of total consumption are included; furthermore, only models with at least 10 active machines.

Data quality

Regular updates ensure that the data is up to date and that the results are meaningful. All consumptions are determined based on the model. This ensures that we are not comparing apples and oranges.
