Additional monitor with digital plan

The digital drilling plan could be transferred to the LIPOS positioning system in the Liebherr machine in no time.

In an additional screen, the driver sees jobsite data and pile lists as a template for work to be carried out.

Fast approach to the drilling points

The LIPOS positioning system played a decisive role in simplifying the work steps: without this system the drilling points would have to be newly measured, drawn and marked at least three times a day.

“The LIPOS system has proven itself well on the jobsite. It makes working processes easier and allows continuous real time control and monitoring. Quality management is considerably improved through the automatic recording of the processes.

Drilling points can be quickly selected and the machine positioned. The system is basically self-explanatory for the operator and convinces through easy handling.”

More than 1000 piles

The available land required substantial foundation work before it was able to support a whole hospital. In an area of 23,000 m², 1,310 piles had to be installed. All piles have a diameter of 630 mm and are being installed using the CFA (continuous flight auger) method. The maximum depth of the foundation piles was 16 m..

A LB 28 drilling rig was used, which was equipped with the LIPOS positioning system for the first time.
