Berres takes delivery of Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane
- LTM 1160-5.2 closes gap in Berres' crane portfolio
- Berres also emphasises reliability and state-of-the-art crane technology
Berres Kranverleih GmbH from Kleinheubach has taken delivery of a Liebherr LTM 1160-5.2 mobile crane. The company from Lower Franconia is replacing a 110-tonne mobile crane with the new 180-tonne crane. It will mainly be used for the assembly of precast concrete elements.
Berres offers customers from the private, commercial and public sectors everything to do with cranes and construction services. Managing Director Dorothea Berres explains: "We attach real importance to state-of-the-art technical equipment, expertise and adherence to deadlines. That's why we decided to invest in a new 180-tonne mobile crane, the LTM 1160-5.2 from Liebherr. This is a crane with innovative technology such as the VarioBallast® adjustable ballast radius. Liebherr also offers reliable and safe products."
Berres operates mobile cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 220 tonnes. "With the LTM 1160-5.2, we are closing a gap in our crane portfolio. It fits perfectly into our range. With the new crane, we are replacing an older 110-tonne crane," declares Dorothea Berres.
The tasks of Berres mobile cranes are many and diverse. Whether industrial buildings, residential construction, wind turbines or mechanical and plant engineering – they move loads wherever construction takes place. The new LTM 1160-5.2 is also intended for the assembly of precast concrete parts, some of which have large unit weights.
LTM 1160-5.2 with 180 tonnes load capacity
The LTM 1160-5.2 has a 62 metre telescopic boom and can reach lifting heights of up to 99 metres with lattice extensions. The 5-axle vehicle is designed for a maximum load capacity of 180 tonnes. With the VarioBallast® system, the crane masters high lifting capacities with a large ballast radius as well as tight construction sites with a small radius. The variable stabiliser base VarioBase® available as standard enables safe use on confined construction sites and offers even higher load-bearing capacities – especially in the working areas directly above the stabilisers.
