HS 8300 mining dragline

Performance

The mining dragline HS 8300 has been designed to meet the tough conditions in mining environments. The machine delivers power and performance with low cost per ton and high turnover rates. The interlock control system allows for power regeneration in dragline operation, reducing fuel consumption as well as wear and tear of the free-fall winch.

Maximum service life

During dragline operations, the HS 8300 must endure high dynamic stresses. Therefore, the steel construction is strengthened considerably.

This not only increases the performance but also doubles the service life in comparison to the standard series.

Overburden removal in surface mining

The HS 8300 is deployed for top soil removal overlying the mineral deposits and subsequently refilling of the mined and empty strip.

Variable boom configurations

Modular boom sections allow for a certain degree of flexibility in terms of strip width and digging depth when choosing the ideal extraction method.

Customer-specific tools (e.g. buckets or teeth) and software also help to adapt to the mining environment.

Digging ranges

Digging and dumping ranges at 40° boom angle

When agility and low ground pressure are essential

The rapid set-up and the easy repositioning of the 380-tonne machine guarantee a quick start of operations.

Crawler tracks with low ground pressure allow the machine to operate in challenging terrain.

Limestone extraction

Extra boost

The machine can be fitted with Liebherr’s Pactronic® hybrid drive, which offers both economical and ecological advantages.

Surplus energy is stored and regenerated to increase material handling capacity while significantly reducing fuel consumption.
