Liebherr-Aerospace Delivers First System to Hafei-Harbin Helicopters

Liebherr-Aerospace has recently delivered its first cooling system to the Chinese manufacturer Hafei-Harbin (AVIC Group) to equip the helicopter program AC312E.

The cooling system which is part of the air management system, was shipped from Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, based in Toulouse (France), to Hafei-Harbin’s final assembly line in Harbin, in the North of China. Nicolas Bonleux, Managing Director & Chief Sales Officer of Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS, stated: “The delivery of the first cooling system to Hafei-Harbin represents a major step for the modernization of the AC312 helicopter program, and we are very happy to contribute to its success.”

Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, Liebherr’s center of excellence for air management systems, had been selected by Hafei-Harbin in January 2016 to develop, manufacture, qualify, certify and service the air management system for the versions C and E of the modernized helicopter AC312 program. Nicolas Bonleux: “The contract is of major significance for us, as Hafei-Harbin is our first helicopter-manufacturing customer in China.”
