#AskLiebherr: Individual promotion of young talent at Bauma
Biberach/Munich, 5 April 2019 – At this year's Bauma in Munich Liebherr presents the whole range of training and career opportunities from 8 to 14 April. Students find support for their new career with the interactive careers advisor "Talent & Future" or under the hashtag #AskLiebherr. Here interested individuals have the opportunity to ask Liebherr staff their questions and thus obtain insights at first hand. Apart from exciting initiatives such as miniature crane driving in the ICM Foyer (Stand 308), experienced colleagues are also available at the Career Point outdoors in order to provide information about customized career opportunities at Liebherr.
At some point all school leavers are faced with the question "What do I want to do later?". In order to provide guidance as early as possible, the Liebherr Group has been working with various educational institutions for a long time. On the occasion of this year's Bauma, the world's leading trade fair for construction machines, the company came up with some new ideas for individual career guidance: The interactive careers advisor "Talent & Future" enquires about interests, preferences and future plans of the students. Based on this the tool compiles possible training and education paths and presents suitable jobs from the Liebherr world. True to Liebherr's guiding principle as an employer "One Passion. Many Opportunities.", several training professions or study programmes in the technical or commercial area which are worth considering are presented to the participants depending on their answers. Then comes the second step: There are employees available at the stand for all career paths in order to provide specific information at first hand to the young talent. "For us it is important to make it easier for young people to start their professional life and we try to support them with individual career guidance. Bauma is especially suited for this because here at the training and education stand we have the young talent directly on site and listen to what they are really interested in", says Training Manager Jasmin Fackler from the Kirchdorf site.
Practical relevance cannot be absent
Liebherr takes part in the student event THINK BIG!, initiated by the VDMA, with different hands-on activities and invites guests to drive excavators and cranes. "To get an initial feeling for our innovative products, the students can mess around in the miniature excavators and take the cranes for a test drive", says HR Manager Christina Hein. Several guided tours are offered for university groups, which not only bring the Liebherr Group closer to the students in theory: Guided tours across the impressive outdoor area and the demonstrations of the latest products can convince.
The activities at Bauma are accompanied by the special campaign "Ask Liebherr" for the duration of the trade fair. All questions relating to working at Liebherr can be directed via the contact form on the Bauma website, using the hashtag #AskLiebherr on the social media platforms or personally to the training team. Initiatives such as a competition or information about women in STEM professions round off the trade fair appearance. "We attach huge importance to the promotion of young talent. We are therefore looking forward to welcoming many interested individuals at our trade fair stands and being able to give them an insight into the diverse professional world at Liebherr", highlights Hein.
Working in an international family-run company

As a family-run company, comprehensive care and support by qualified trainers, team-building seminars and workshops are also part of the training plan. At the same time, trainees and students have the opportunity to also sample the international professional world in one of the Liebherr companies.
