Construction machines for extraordinary deployment scenarios
Liebherr construction machines achieve outstanding results around the world
Liebherr crane marks highest point in Germany
During construction of the new Eibsee cable car, a Liebherr tower crane works on the provisionally highest construction site in Germany. At a height of 2,975 meters, a 150 EC-B 8 Litronic flat-top crane soars above the Zugspitze. The special construction site location requires assembly by helicopter and comprehensive planning by the team of Liebherr Tower Crane Solutions.
Wheeled excavator assures safety in very modern mine
In Novomoskovsk (Russia), the building materials group Knauf runs one of the most state-of-the-art mining operations in Europe. A Liebherr wheeled excavator assures a high level of safety during gypsum mining here. The A 934 C HD wheeled excavator reliably cleans the floor ceilings below ground. With telescopic boom, hydraulic hammer and also a hydraulic XCentric ripper, it is especially equipped for this task.
Duty cycle crawler cranes excavate soil for railway project
For the construction of the West Kowloon Terminus in Hong Kong, a fleet of Liebherr HS 855 HD and HS 885 HD duty cycle crawler cranes is being apllied. The project requires the excavation of a 26 kilometers long tunnel in order to connect the city to the Chinese high-speed network. Our duty cycle crawler cranes are helping to excavate a total of 1.7 million cubic metres of soil for this project.
Record-breaking concrete production for mega dam
Son La is the biggest dam in South East Asia. With an output of 2,400 MW, about 10 percent of Vietnam is supplied with energy from hydropower. Liebherr supplied the whole concrete mixing technology for the large-scale project. During the construction phase, concrete production reached a new dimension. In the first eight months, four Betomix 4.5 B-R / DW concrete mixing systems produced more than one million cubic meters of cooled concrete.
Liebherr wheel loaders channel through the hill ...
As part of the “Stuttgart-Ulm” infrastructure project, public railroad network in South Germany is being expanded. Therefore, numerous Liebherr machines are in use. Our wheel loaders are literally channeling through the hill. Special protective devices afford the wheel loaders a great amount of rigidity here.
... and crawler excavators provide the impetus for tunnel boring
For “Stuttgart-Ulm” tunnel building project, crawler excavators are also playing an important role. The R 944 C Tunnel machine works primarily with an excavation bucket. For boring through the toughest stone, the crawler excavators are equipped with hammers and millers.
New Liebherr crane erects skyscraper
At 320 meters, one of the highest skyscrapers in Manhattan is being built in New York – neighboring the world famous Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). For experts, this is one of the most important construction projects of our times. Construction is being carried out by the new Liebherr 710 HC-L adjustable boom crane. We designed this especially for work on extremely high buildings with restricted space.
Wheeled excavator thinning the Swiss woodlands
In Grisons (Switzerland), a Liebherr wheeled excavator is thinning the mountain woodlands. For forestry work of this kind, the A 920 Litronic is equipped with a special timber processor. The wheeled excavator reduces costs to a minimum and ensures timber harvesting without damage.
