Let’s get started: ground-breaking for the new Components’ site in China

Construction at our new site in Dalian, China, has begun with an impressive ground-breaking ceremony. On a floor area of around 44,000 m², new halls with three production lines, office and auxiliary buildings will soon see the light of day. This is an important milestone for us, since we will not only expand our presence in Asia, but also the production of bearings, drives and hydraulic cylinders for the Chinese market.

Under pressure with the new piston accumulators

Introducing the newest member of our Components family - a series-production range in the field of 250 and 350 bar pressure area for piston accumulators. We design them in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations, such as PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) 2014/68/EU or ASME code section VIII. Our products allow vertical and horizontal integration to cover a wide variety of mobile and stationary applications.

By the way, did you know that our piston accumulators optimally match other hydraulic components by Liebherr? This allows you to use them as a complete hydraulic system in combination with our hydraulic cylinders and power units.

New milestone in tunnelling

Come join us in China! With a main bearing for Shanghai Tunnel Engineering (STEC), a Chinese system provider of tunnel boring machines (TBMs), we have reached the next dimension in tunnel construction. With its 44 tons and the diameter of almost eight metres, the roller bearing is a real heavyweight. It will find application in one of the largest tunnel boring machines and is the largest TBM main bearing of its kind produced by Liebherr to date.

For off-highway applications, on the other hand, no binding plans have yet been set forth. However, this sector shows high interest in hydrogen as a fuel. Therefore, we at Liebherr offer solutions for hydrogen direct injection in heavy-duty engines as a development partner and system supplier for climate-friendly injection technology.
