L1 in Venice

Our L1-24 fast-erecting crane is currently in Venice, renovating a historic building on the Grand Canal. Waterway transport was the only option for navigating the narrow canal routes of the old town. The L1-24 is ideal for such challenging conditions and for working in the tightest of spaces.

Lake Garda

A Liebherr L1-32 has been at work in Riva del Garda, Italy. The hydraulic fast-erecting crane offers a maximum lifting capacity of four tonnes, a 30-metre radius and a hook height of 21.3 metres. As a result, concrete skips, filigree slabs and other construction elements can all be moved with efficiency on site. Its Speed2Lift feature ensures loads are lifted in 2-line operation for maximum handling performance.

Lake Geneva

An L1-24 has been involved in a construction project on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Two versions of the crane are available, depending on requirements, either with a 25-metre or 27-metre radius. Both options allow the hydraulic fast-erecting crane to lift up to 2,500 kilograms. Precast filigree slabs and fragile construction elements need careful placement; the crane’s Micromove function makes it possible to position such loads smoothly and with fine precision.

Restoration work on the island of Mainau

The island of Mainau in Southern Germany is known as Lake Constance’s “island of flowers”. It’s here that a 20-metre-long section of a historic wall suffered damage through ill-fated building work. In order for the restoration to begin, all damaged pieces of wall have to be lifted separately and removed. The stone masonry and sculpture company Eduard Schnell decided on a Liebherr L1-24 fast-erecting crane to carry out this work.
