Liebherr is seeking a dedicated HVAC Assistant to join our growing team!
We are a supplier for the transportation industry, supplying various air conditioning and hydraulic systems for rail vehicles.  We proudly provide and maintain the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Rocket subway system, with more than 1000 units in service.This entry-level position will be working under our Aerospace division to perform field modifications and maintenance on the HVAC units for the TTC.
*Please note, occassional travel will be required to Burlington*

Responsibilities

• Check, inspect, pressure wash and test for optimized performance
• Regularly move the HVAC units and components as needed
• Accurately complete inspection reports in a timely manner
• Carry out minimal HVAC Modifications (FMI) as required
• Work collectively with team members to correspond details and escalate complex modifications as required
• Other duties as assigned

Competencies

• 1-2 years’ experience in general labor, warehouse, or mechanic shop.  1-2 years HVAC experience strongly preferred
• High school completion or greater required
• You make safety a habit; while being physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and able to use hand tools, power tools and equipment.
• You communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Demonstrated thirst for knowledge and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office & Excel
• Valid driver’s license is required.  Flexibility to drive between Burlington & Toronto is required
